Roberta, I want to thank you again for giving me the use of my feet without pain. I have been using your orthotics design for 5 years. Prior to meeting you I had tried many solutions to my hurting feet. Some examples are:
1. Two podiatrists who sold me on cortisone shots and orthotics. This didn't cure the problem. One of these people said if the shots didn't work he could cut the tendon. I never went back to him.
2. A physical therapist who dodn't understand foot problems.
3. A physical therapist who claimed she had been making orthotics for 25 years. These didn't solve my aching feet.
4. An acupuncturist who tried to stop the pain. This didn't work.
Your system of engineering orthotics to the natural movement of the foot is fantastic. I can't thank you enough for giving me back the pain-free use of my feet.

"I just want to reach out and say a big thank you to Roberta Nole, MA, PT, C.Ped and her staff at Stride Orthotic. Eighteen years ago, at age 10, I had developed a hammer toe on my great toe. More pronounced on one foot than the other but very obvious none the less. My mother, a physical therapist, spoke to the pediatrician about it. He was unconcerned and didn’t recommend doing anything about it. My mom asked about orthotics and I ended up being fitted for a pair by a PT in Simsbury, CT that were made by Langer Orthotics based in Long Island, NY. Two years passed and the hammer toes increased, often causing friction rubbing on the top of the toes with sports. Being active in soccer, basketball, and other sports it was a problem. Then we discovered Stride Orthotic in Middlebury, CT. I went for an evaluation and was told the orthotics I had been wearing were not doing anything to correct the forefoot, and were not doing anything to address my problem. I was fit for new orthotics and have been so appreciative of the help. Now at age 28 my hammer toes have resolved. I can play sports without a problem, can wear sandals without embarrassment, and wear shoes in comfort. I am grateful that with the correct early intervention I was able to outgrow a problem that could have plagued me through adulthood."

Hi Roberta:
Wanted to let you know that my orthotics are working wonderfully!! I have had an easy transition into them, use them now also on my daily walks and I don’t even know they are there!!! I am so lucky to have found you again and obviously with the 10+ years in between my old ones and these, the changes you made to them were very necessary!! I might consider at some point having a second pair made, as now I switch them between sneakers, which is ok for the time being. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You are really amazing at what you do!!!

Brenda, I wanted to thank you for taking hte time to call me back as I know how busy you are! I appreciate very much all of the advice you have given me. Our doctor told us that Roberta Nole specializes in creating foot orthotics for children that are effective and affordable. She invented the littleSTEPS and QuadraSTEPS prefabricated orthotics for kids and teens that allowed our son to participate in all his regular activities and sports without pain, and without the expense of custom orthotics. She is knowledgeable and thorough, always spending plenty of time to see how our son’s feet have changed since his last visit.
I recently moved to VA, and have not been able to find anyone who could evaluate me and or cast me for custom foot orthoses. Being in a car accident caused me to have several hip surgeries, and very much changed the biomechanics of how I stand and walk. Roberta offered to evaluate me virtually via Zoom, and was able to send me to a PT for casting, who was within her network of professionals who have taken her courses, and who is about an hour away from me. The casts were sent to STRIDE, and then my custom orthotics were made and shipped back to me. They are perfect for what I need, and have played an important part in my rehabilitation. I did not even really need a "break in" period, and was able to wear them all day long pretty immediately. I know this is not usual or customary, but since I am a PT myself, and have worn orthotics for 34 years, I knew that a proper custom orthotic for my changed hips would be just what I needed. I highly recommend this service with Roberta Nole!
